DC Boosters

The intrinsic resistance of a leaky feeder cable and the power consumed by active devices like amplifiers produce a drop of voltage along the leaky feeder cable. For this reason, it is necessary to restore voltage levels in the leaky feeder network after several amplifiers with DC boosters and couplers. DC boosters convert power from the main AC supply to DC voltage required for the leaky feeder system. They work in conjunction to DC Couplers, which isolate the RF signal from the previous DC voltage, and inject DC power from a booster to its output.Voltage levels can vary from one manufacturer to another. Normally they range from 12VDC to 48VDC. Please refer to the specifications of your manufacturer.
