Key Personnel

Richard Robertson
Operations Manager – Global Communication Services

Richard has over 25 years experience in telecommunications systems design and implementation. Much of his experience has been in the mining, minerals and oil and gas sectors, providing solutions to complex communications requirements, ensuring the operation of site critical communications including, radio (UHF, VHF, DMR, TETRA), microwave and fibre optic networks.

Grant Huxtable
Senior Sales Engineer

Grant has over 30 years experience in proving critical communications solutions to clients in the mining industry. Grants background is based around his development in the Royal Australian Air Force where Grant began his working time as Communication Technician and has now developed to be a leader in his field of communication systems, specialising in underground design and implementation.

Erich Knoop
Senior Communications Engineer

Erich has a vast array of knowledge in communications systems in general but in recent times has directed his services around Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), SCADA and Telemetry. Erich is a specialist and expert in the function and operation MIRRI systems an Australian manufactured PLC used mainly in the underground mining sector. Erich also has experience in other brands including Schneider and CITECT and has been working actively in his field for over 30 years.

Nick Illemo
Regional Sales Support

Nick is a solutions specialist and looks after our extended customer for both pre and post sales services. Nick has been in telecommunications for over 20 years and brings sound and proven knowledge to GCS.
